Picts From Manataka: Place of Peace
|
This is my personal homepage. Included are some pictures of the documentary,
"Manataka: Place of Peace" my friends and I made. (Elvish Delvings Productions)
It is the ancient Native American Story of Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was
known to the Indians as "Manataka". Tribes from all over the North and
South Americas made pilgrimages to this sacred site for thousands of years.

A Few More Pictures
|
Jon Boatwright is one of our best friends. He drove 80 miles to set up
lights and sound, helping us shoot the documentary. Cheif Little Horse
was across the street for a photo shoot and came to the Cherokee Longhouse
(where we shot the documentary) and volunteered his image and spirit to
the project. Gayle Scott is a local young actress who wanted to be a part
of the project. CJ, Stephanie and Jeffrey: Janice and Jeff's three kids.
And...Janice. Andrew Jackson was responsible for the "Trail of Tears"
and a great deal of the Native American genocide in the mid 1830s. He
also convinced congress to make Hot Springs a Federal Reservation, removing
Indian access to the sacred land.
